University of Zurich: Smart communication management for higher education institutions
The University of Zurich (UZH) is a place of learning, research and collaboration. With just under 30,000 students and over 10,000 staff, it is the largest university in Switzerland. An organisation of this size brings diversity, but also complexity. To ensure that research, teaching and administration run smoothly, communication services must be reliably available and efficiently manageable.
At the heart of this communications landscape lies a key enabler: telephony and communications administration. For over 150 institutes, hundreds of buildings and thousands of users, a largely automated solution for telephony and mobile services is crucial. This is where the collaboration between UZH and Ergon came into play: the TAS telephony administration system provides a strategic platform for the management and further development of all communications services.
