The Liechtensteinische Landesbank is the most traditional bank in Liechtenstein. It provides its customers with comprehensive services in wealth management: as a universal bank, in private banking, asset management and fund services. With over 900 employees, it is present in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.
Projects
The common path started in 1999 with the first e-banking solution (with Java Client and Security Token). In the years that followed, LLB worked with Ergon continuously on the further development of online banking and also supported LLB in terms of developing mobile banking.
With Ergon as its technical partner, LLB continues to pursue its digitisation strategy and can count on Ergon's comprehensive know-how for all areas of financial service provision and IT security. The new portal, mobile banking apps and online banking were launched in 2017.

Together with Ergon, LLB conducted a proof of concept for the secure use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) with sensitive data in a public cloud. The aim was to evaluate the technical capabilities and performance of Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) on proprietary data.
Success
To ensure compliance with the high security requirements of LLB, Ergon used its GenAI security blueprint, which enabled the services in Microsoft Azure to be comprehensively protected and securely connected. This meant that data control, data protection and data security could be guaranteed at all times. The result can be used for a range of use cases.

The goal was to reach a new, digitally savvy customer base and take a first strategic step towards becoming a digital bank.

In partnership with Ergon, LLB developed an intuitive mobile app featuring fully digital onboarding, impact screening and algorithm-based portfolio optimisation. Fractional shares and a streamlined customer journey make sustainable investments accessible, efficient and scalable.

Together with Ergon, Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) enhanced the CardX platform to support SEPA Instant Payments, including 24/7 currency conversion and cross-account limit management. The solution was seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure and meets all regulatory requirements for European real-time payments.
Success
LLB’s European customers can now execute SEPA Instant Payments around the clock in real time – even from foreign currency accounts and without the risk of overdrafts. The bank strengthens its position as a pioneer in real-time banking while benefiting from increased automation and operational stability.
